Which days do I need to be in Lisbon?

Technically, you only need to be in Lisbon on the 10th August.
We advise that you arrive on the 8th to properly enjoy Lisbon for a weekend. And after a night of partying, don’t try to make your way to the airport until the evening of the 11th at the earliest!
若只为婚礼，您只需在 8 月 10 日 在场。但我们更希望您 8 日抵达，让里斯本的周末先为您铺陈浪漫。婚礼后的夜晚漫长而快乐，请至少在 11 日傍晚 再启程离开。
What airport should I fly to?

The closest airport is the Lisbon Airport, if you are coming just for the wedding then this is your best choice. However, if you have some days to spare, flying into Porto Airport is often more affordable. You can start your visit of Portugal there and have a leisurely drive down to Lisbon the day before the ceremony.

Do I need a visa?

If you are from the US, UK, Canada, or Australia, you are exempt from a visa for up to 90 days in the EU. However, you will probably need an ETIAS. For any other countries, please refer to the short stay visa application process and contact Luxi or Umar for a letter of invitation.

How do I get around when I arrive?

Lisbon has a good metro, train, tram, and bus system that can all be accessed with a travel card. The Navegante occasional card is pay-as-you-go and the Lisboa Card includes tourist attractions as well. Alternatively, you can use contactless payments to tap in and out of public transportation. But be mindful of currency conversion rates!
If you would prefer to drive, renting a car is easy through Europcar or Hertz. The faster and more affordable alternative to Uber in Lisbon is called Bolt.
